History


In 1990, consolidated on the experience of its founder, Ivan de Jesus Cordeiro, concerning the development of machines and industrial equipment, the DA VINCI Converting Machines company emerged- currently set in Joinville, Santa Catarina state, BRAZIL - and compromised in offering its services to the greatest Brazilian companies in the mechanical and electro electronic metal segment.


At first, the main objective of the company was focused in dealing with the market in general, through the development of drawings and projects, aiming at magnifying, modernization and improvement of industrial processes.


In 1999, after considering the large amount of jobs carried out in the paper-manufacturing field, DA VINCI specialized in maintenance and automation equipment service providing in the tissue-paper field. To state a few examples of the rendered services are the retrofitting tissue paper conversion machinery, aiming at increasing production speed, finished product quality improvement, and labor force reduction. These include the entire assembly line from unwinders, embossing groups, rewinder, tail sealers, accumulators, cutters, packing machines, bundlers, and industrial shipping machines.

Due to the reached seriousness and the success with the carried through works concerning the retrofitting and the technological improvements applied
to the competitive manufacturers´ equipments, DA VINCI strengthened its position in the development and manufacturing of these same equipments. The great necessity of a company specialized in this segment of market encouraged that initiative that was even more encouraged by our own customers, who are great paper manufacturing companies,

Consequently DA VINCI set up their 2500 square meter factory installations in JOINVILLE and a fifty-member staff for designing and manufacturing the Tissue-paper conversion machines in 2001.

DA VINCI Converting Machines have searched intensive interchanges, aiming at new technologies and converting equipments, through RESEARCHES and DEVELOPMENT, in specific sectors. Such interchanges are carried through with the ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF SANTA CATARINA in the South of Brazil, with TECHNICAL SCHOOLS and with other EDUCATION ENTITIES OF TEACHING AND RESEARCH, also regarding the partnerships with THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES, that lead both the technological and marketing trends.
